About us

Gould, Kobrick & Schlapp, P.C. is one of the few CPA firms in New York that specializes exclusively in providing audit, consulting and related services to labor organizations and employee benefit plans, including Taft-Hartley, single employer, public sector and 410(k) plans. The Firm was founded in 1965 and currently consists of three partners and nine professional and paraprofessional assistants.

As a small firm, our principals are directly involved in all aspects of every engagement. Since we exclusively serve the labor and employee benefit plan sectors, our principals and professionals are well versed in the accounting, audit and regulatory aspects of these organizations. This, coupled with our commitment to meet all professional and educational requirements of both the AICPA and New York State Board of Accountancy, ensures the audit team assigned to our clients has unparalleled expertise to provide quality services.

The Firm is a member of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center and all of our principals and CPAs are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

As a member of the AICPA, our firm undergoes an independent peer review every three years and we have always received an unmodified report. Copies of these reports are available upon request.

Our principals have served on both the Committee of Labor Organizations and Welfare Funds and the Committee on Employees Profit Sharing and Benefits Funds of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. They have also been speakers at seminars and conferences and have written and taught for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. The three principals of the Firm have a combined industry experience of over ninety years.
